Back of House exhibition goes to London

April 10th, 2012

Jeff Martin Noma

The Back of House – World exhibition will travel to London to be displayed at Guildhall. The 50 Best Restaurant Awards take place on the 30th of April 2012 and the organizers have asked if the exhibition could feature as part of the tenth anniversary celebrations. With over 150 international media in attendance and the worlds best chef’s attending, it seemed like a good idea to say yes. I am very excited to see the reaction of the chef’s to the paintings and I will be posting photos on twitter and Facebook if you would like to come along.

Denmark House

March 13th, 2012

Denmark House hosted a private function to welcome five chef’s from Denmark to the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, including Rene Redzepi of Noma. I was asked by the Danish consul to attend with the painting of Noma from the current exhibition. Very exciting to see his reaction to the work which he has purchased and will hang in the private dining room in Copenhagen.

The Artist Feast

March 2nd, 2012

Da Noi

As part of the 2012 Melbourne Food & Wine Festival I will be hosting a very special event at one of my favorite restaurants, Da Noi.

Sardinian chefs Pietro Purcu (Da Noi) and Giovanni Pilu (Pilu at Freshwater) will create a spectacular Sardinian degustation, each course harmonised with exceptional Italian wines thanks to importer and distributor Arquilla. The evening starts with champagne at Gould Galleries where I will give an artist talk about Back of House. Guests will then walk to the restaurant for the feast. One lucky guest will win a painting valued at $5000. For details visit http://www.melbournefoodandwine.com.au/ booking via Da Noi on 03 9866 5975.
